Sylvia Earle is often referred to as "Her Deepness", as she was titled by The New York Times and The New Yorker. The nickname seems more than appropriate being that the Marine Biologist was the first woman to walk freely on the (1,250 ft. deep) ocean floor in addition to being Time Magazine's first "Hero For the Planet". She now has a new book out titled The World is Blue, which she will be at the Museum of Science on May 12 to discuss. She will also be signing copies of the book after the talk. Free but limited passes for this event will be distributed beginning at 5:45pm in the Museum Lobby on a first come first served basis.
